Omise Holdings changes name to SYNQA, reinforcing lead fintech position in Asia
Bangkok, 30 April 2020 – Omise Holdings, Southeast Asia’s leading financial technology provider and parent company of Omise (Payment Gateway) and OmiseGO, announced today it has changed its company name and corporate identity from Omise Holdings to SYNQA.
SYNQA’s mission is to connect people, businesses and society in innovative ways that spread the wealth of financial opportunity and provide fair and open access to a growing economic ecosystem. Forging into 2020, this new corporate identity reinforces their position as a holding company with a portfolio of companies and as the go-to partner in Asia for all fintech and innovation matters. The rebrand further clarifies SYNQA’s role and key activities which include actively engaging with entrepreneurs, partners and investors, providing support to its existing portfolio of companies and accelerating digital growth and fintech transformation.
“I founded SYNQA to improve ways people can interact with one another with the best financial infrastructure. I’m excited to unveil this new corporate identity and communicate to the industry our position in Asia” said Jun Hasegawa, founder and CEO of SYNQA.
In SYNQA, the sounds of synergy, synchronization, symbiosis, symmetry and quest reverberate. Together, these words form the word SYNQA. The company’s new name captures the essence of its mission, and what the team stands for. What’s more, in Japanese, SYNQA sounds similar to the japanese word “進化” which means evolution. That is what the brand represents; a team, companies and investments that are resilient and adaptive to market changes, that are in constant motion towards their greater goal of a fintech ecosystem where people can thrive and coexist in harmony.
